It's kind of scary when only two posts show up on the main page of my blog! I really need to post a little more frequently. Hopefully that should be achievable now though ... as I'm finally settled in what will hopefully be home for the next however long. I've organised an internet connection too and I am once more sitting at my own familiar little computer. So comforting. It's very sad, my computer is my security blanket.
So everything is going well so far! No major complaints, other than a little exhaustion. I moved down on Wednesday, and started work on Thursday. I'm slowly getting used to how everything works here, and managing to enjoy myself at the same time.
I went into London yesterday, to catch up with friends at Pax Lodge (where I stayed for my first couple of weeks). In a way Pax still seems like a bit of a home away from home ... I imagine I'll probably spend a fair bit of time there over the next year or so.
Today I borrowed the car and found my way to a nearby town ... which I love! So many fantastic shops ... it was strangely comforting! I feel so at home walking around shopping centres. All my favourite stores too ... so impressed! Plus a TGI Fridays! And a Starbucks. I'm afraid I can see myself heading over there rather often!
Still on the search for a horseriding school. I went to one today, but they're fully booked ... so I have to keep looking. I'm probably going to help out with the local Brownie unit! And I might be joining the gym (yes, seriously!) ... it's such a nice gym too, and they've offered me a really good deal!
I'm not sure what else there is to tell. Now that I'm somewhat settled I'm going to start planning my travel adventures ... I've already started making a list of all the places I want to go and things I want to do, but I'm still keen for any suggestions!!
Ohh, I saw Les Misérables on Tuesday night!!! It was wonderful ... everything that I was expecting, and more. I have so much to say about it, but the evening really deserves an entry of it's own, so I'll write about my Les Mis excitement another time. For now, I think I need some sleep!! I'll try to write again soon!
